From now on, you'll get only small images with even bigger watermarks in the middle of the picture, because people seem to be unable to read and understand artist comments. It clearly states below of my all works that I don't want you to share my works without permission. Not on tumblr, igmur, pinterest, photobucket etc. I'm on tumbl keepchangingcolours.tumblr.com…, for your notice, and I decide what goes there and what doesn't. I'm also on pinterest.
You'll have to understand that it's frustrating to create, find your work all over the internet and get only a little to none credit for it.
You posting it without stating that people cannot use or post it, makes people think that it's "free to use" and it will spread more and more. How much credit do I get? How many comments, new watchers and faves will it bring to me? Will someone hire me if they see my work on for instance "fable fanart-site"? Will they look me up? No, I don't think so. Someone posted my newest Elsa picture on tumblr and it got many likes and reblogs. I posted it there too before she did. How many likes and reblogs did I get? None. This is one reason why you should always ask if you don't know if the person is on those sites and wants their work there.
Polite person:"Can I post this on tumblr?" Me:"No, but you can reblog it since I've already posted it there./ No, but if you want, I can post it there and you can reblog it then."
"It has a link back to your account, it'll bring you more attention!" Even if you link back, how many will come to my account? How many will take it serious that I do not want people to use my work?
"They uploaded it on *addsomephotosharingsite* without asking, so maybe I can do that too!" That's what they'll think.
I don't need your help to get attention. I don't want to be popular. I only want to create and share my creations on my own terms to the people who really are interested. I want constructive comments and critiques so that I can evolve. I know dA isn't the best place to get them. There are a lot of people who doesn't give a shit about me and only follow me because of "omg pretty disney worksssss lolz <3!", who will only give me faves and llamas. But I can't do anything about it. Well, I could stop uploading my works completely, but then I wouldn't get any feedback at all. Even those annoying faves and "cute" comments tell me that I've done at least something right.
What I want to say is that I can handle the sharing all by myself, thank you. If you want to be popular and share nice stuff - make the content yourself. It doesn't appear just by snapping your fingers you know. But if you still really, really want to and feel the need to share my work outside dA, please ask first. It's not hard to contact me. You can either leave a comment, send a notice or email me at kasipalloart( a )gmail.com or you can leave a comment on my blog. Like I said, it's not hard to contact me.
I hope that uploading smaller and more heavily watermarked art, decreases the will to share my works without permission. I doubt it, but what else can I do?
This doesn't mean that I don't want you to feature me in journals etc. or that I don't want you to add my work on any groups. I'm talking about uploading my works on other sites. Well, I don't want you to re-submit my works here either...
Does any of this make sense at all?
It's almost 1 am., so I am not at my brightest right now.
